THE FINE PRINT: This is a real class! It's NOT a book discussion group. I am looking for 35 students who are serious about finishing what we start. We will be using the "flipped classroom" model. This means you will prepare for each week's class by doing 2-3 hours of homework, such as Bible study, watching a lecture, and textbook reading. You literally cannot learn the material if you don't do the homework.
Our in-class time will be on Google Meet and consist of large group discussions and small, breakout room discussions to help you process what you are learning.
What to expect:
– 8 weeks
– Meetings: Tuesdays at 4 PM (PT)/7 PM (ET) via Zoom; 2 hours per week
– Dates: August 24, 31, September 7, 21, 28, October 12, 19, 26
– Weekly homework: 2–3 hours per week
– Must have the ability to sit in class and be attentive, with your camera on in order to facilitate full participation
Textbooks:
– Textbook: Rose Chronological Guide to the Bible
– Bible: NIV, NASB, or ESV (You must have a physical, paper Bible, unless you are visually impaired.)
Registration:
– Tuition: $125; includes weekly lectures, live meetings + recordings of class sessions for personal review
– Class size limited to 35 students, in order to facilitate discussion. First come, first served.
